This policy explains how NaviGate handles information collected through navigateshipdata.com. It covers our public website and its contact and demo-request forms. Information you upload inside a NaviGate customer account is outside the scope of this website policy.

Enquiries and demo requests
When you submit a form, we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, company or operation, number of vessels, and any phone number or message you provide. Required fields are identified on the form. You can browse the site without sending us these details.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, arrange your demo, and communicate with you about that request. Forms are delivered to the NaviGate team by email. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or crew records in these forms.
Website operation and security
Our hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information and requested pages to deliver the website and protect it against abuse. We use Amazon Web Services for hosting and form delivery, and Cloudflare Turnstile to check form submissions. Turnstile processes browser and connection information, including IP addresses, for security purposes. Read Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The contact service uses a hashed IP address to enforce submission limits. Its application and access logs are configured to expire after 30 days, and submission-limit records have automatic expiry. Submitted form contents are not written to the contact service's application logs. Enquiries delivered to our mailbox are separate from those technical logs.
Google Fonts supplies the website's fonts and receives the network information needed to deliver them. These font and security requests operate independently of optional analytics.
Optional Google Analytics
If you allow analytics, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, where visits come from, and whether visits lead to a successful enquiry, demo request, or contact-link click. Google processes technical information about your device and visit and uses analytics cookies to distinguish visits.
Our analytics events do not include form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or customer account information. We remove query strings and fragments from the page addresses we send and send only the origin of an external referring website. We keep advertising storage, advertising data use and advertising personalisation disabled.
Google Analytics does not load until you choose Allow analytics. You can reject analytics and continue using the site and forms. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to six months; clearing browser storage removes that choice. Analytics cookies are configured with a six-month expiry that may renew with visits.
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops analytics and removes the site's Google Analytics cookies; the page reloads to apply the change. It does not automatically delete information already processed by Google. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Service providers and overseas processing
Our hosting, email, security and analytics providers process information to supply their services. This can involve processing or storage outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Access, correction and retention
You can contact us to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you. You can also ask us to delete information we no longer need. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. Contact us if you want to discuss how long we need to keep a particular enquiry or request.
